Hello Peter!
Great site you have! I wanted to touch bases with you team and introduce you to my start-up called Ricebowlproject–the first crowdfunding platform for social entrepreneurs working on cause-based projects that benefit the international, national, or local communities.
How it Works:
Ricebowlproject operates on the principles of collective action where small financial pledges are pooled together to help fund a project. Projects must meet or surpass funding goals within a deadline or no money is exchanged. Project Initiators can organize, launch, promote, and manage their community-led, grass root fund raiser from anywhere, at anytime, and all on one site. This is a great way to gauge demand for a new project, raise money, and promote awareness all with no risk.
In exchange for their pledges, Patrons can receive pledge gifts created by the Project Initiators. These could be just about anything, a hand knitted scarf, research findings, perhaps a bag of the season’s first harvest.
What’s Different:
(1) First to integrate crowdfunding with social entrepreneurship;
(2) Easily categorize projects by END CAUSE and by PROJECT TYPE;
(3) Powerful social media tools to better organize and promote projects;
(4) At least 1% of Ricebowlproject’s profits will be donated to Oceanic Preservation Society (producers of The Cove) through our partnership with 1% for the Planet.
Action Item:
The public is now invited to submit projects for our August 1 launch date. To be a featured launch project, Project Initiators should submit their project proposal by July 28 four our August 1 launch date. To begin, visit http://www.ricebowlproject.com and click on “Start a Project.” If one launches on August 1, our fees are only 3.5% of successfully funded projects.
We’re also on Facebook and Twitter. Could you mention us on your blog, Facebook, and Twitter feeds? It would be great if you can join us in getting the word out. Either way, please let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Wayne Chi, Founder

Dear Peter,
I am contacting you on behalf of an organization called Kinetis. Kinetis is a grassroots organization established to promote the recognition of Israel at home and abroad as a vibrant and inspirational source of creativity and innovation. By educating about and exposing the creative energy of the Israeli environment and people, we seek to enhance global appreciation for Israel’s unique contribution, and to revitalize national pride.
I manage the “Vibe Israel” project, an all-expenses paid 7-day tour of Israel we offer to online opinion makers and leaders who write about areas in which Israel has an offering of global relevance. We recently invited a group of Mommy Bloggers to show them the family life, parenting and children aspects of Israeli life, and the response was great (we hosted 3 leading bloggers from the UK and 2 from Spain) and Design bloggers to show them the design scene here.
We are now looking into creating a tour for social entrepreneurship bloggers and are doing some basic research to ascertain exposure and relevance of this subject online. Please find attached some more info and a sample itinerary.
If you are interested in coming, please advise the following:
Blog: # of unique visitors per month
Twitter: name on twitter and # of followers
FB: link to your page and # of friends
Where will we be flying you in from?
A little bit more about your social entrepreneurship activities
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Kalia
